PROVOR CTS 3
PROVOR CTS3 is a reliable, cost-effective float with self-ballast that collects typically 112 data triplets (salinity, temperature and pressure) during its drifting and ascending phases. Once at the surface, these data are sent via the ARGOS system. The PROVOR CTS3 is designed to achive up to 250 cycles. More than 700 units have been produced since 1998. PROVOR CTS3 can launched from any vessel at slow speed using only a rope and at high speed (20 knots checked) by using release kit and launching crate. The PROVOR has been developed in industrial partnership with Ifremer.

PROVOR CTS4
PROVOR CTS4 design was based on the PROVOR CTS3 ARGO float to embed additional sensors to the standard CTD. They are optical sensors by Satlantics, WetLabs, Chelsea or Aanderaa. Developments by nke in collaboration with LOV (Villefranche Oceanographic Lab) and Ifremer, enable PROVOR CTS4 to provide increased features.

PROVOR CTS3 DO / DO I
PROVOR CTS3 DO and DO I are efficient and reliable autonomous profiling floats designed to acquire CTD and Dissolved oxygen profiles: from 2000 m to the surface. Once at the surface, data are sent via satellite and a new cycle begins. The PROVOR DO is proposed with transmission by ARGOS or IRIDIUM. ARGOS is one way data collection and positioning by satellites, IRIDIUM associated with GPS is a two ways communication system enabling data collection, the positioning and remote control facilities. The PROVOR is a cost-effective float with hydraulic feature enabling a deployment anywhere in the ocean without preballasting: this enables to simplify deployments.
It has been developed in industrial partnership with Ifremer.

DEEP ARVOR
The DEEP ARVOR provides salinity, temperature and pressure profiles up to 4000 meters depth, using proven ARGO sensors. Data are transmitted by IRIDIUM satellite system and the float is GPS positioned. With self-ballast and light design, DEEP-ARVOR is self ballasted and its light weight allow easy deployment. Design has been performed by Ifremer well qualified Arvor subassemblies and new hull technologies nke instrumentation achieves the industrial, production and commercialization.

PROVOR SPI
PROVOR SPI is designed to operate under ice. It slides along a tighted cable hanged under an Ice Tether Platform (ITP). The base of the PROVOR SPI is the PROVOR CTS3 designed for the ARGO project. The firmware has been upgraded to optimize the diving mission. The ITP is an amphibious buoy which can operate as well on the ice than as floating offshore. The communication with buoy is achieved by means of an inductive link, communication with the buoy uses the bidirectional iridium communication system. The PROVOR SPI is divided in several easily transportable elements to enable transport by small aircrafts until deployment area.

ARVOR C
ARVOR-C is a subsurface profiling float designed to operate in coastal environment and perform oceanographic measurements as a pseudo-eulerian station. Its design has been optimized to reduce its drift thanks to a seabed standby and anti-drift claws, an optimized profiling speed (~25 cm/s),and a short data transmission duration. It can perform more than 300 profiles, and transmits its data in real time via the Iridiumsatellite system.The ARVOR-C is fitted with “ARGO” used CTD. The design of the ARVOR-C has used elements and know-how used in the ARVOR and PROVOR offshore profiling floats range.

PAOLA
PAOLA is useful for naval forces in order to perform remote subsurface surveys in an operational area. Thanks to the aero expendable capacity and the “NATO A” size, PAOLA can be deployed easily and quickly. PAOLA_PTA is an expendable oceanic profiler designed to acquire temperature profiles in the water column between 500m to surface with a half metric resolution and ambient noise at several depths. Due to its high level of performances, acoustic acquisition chain threshold is “0” sea state.

SAMBAT
SAMBAT is an Autonomous Multiparameter Probe with Brush and Teletransmission.
This equipment is used to measure and record the main physical water parameters (temperature, depth, conductivity for the calculation of salinity, turbidity, fluorescence, dissolved oxygen and pH) on a period of time up to several months.
SAMBAT uses a Brush to protect the Fluorescence, Turbidity and dissolved oxygen sensors from biofouling.
An operational probe :
- Suitable for any type of support (very light buoy, ladder, stake, pontoon…).
- Set up with the WinMemo II software thanks to a radio connection (Radio Data Pencil) with arange of around 25 meters.

6000m acceleration pressure data logger.

SPHT
SPHT enables to measure and record pH and temperature in deep waters.
SPHT is used with temperature and pH sensors specifically designed for use down to 6000m. These sensors are linked to the SPHT by a connector.
Set-up and data transmission can be performed by an inductive data interface (Data Pencil), and a computer with the Winmemo software.
SPHT can be set-up and data can be read at 6000m with a Data Pencil 6000 used on a submarine, a ROV or an AUV.

RECOPESCA
The RECOPESCA system is designed to be installed on fishing boats. It was developed to analyse the fishing effort measurement.

HOOK TIMER
The Hook Timers are mounted on long lines.
They allow to know exactly the elapsed time between the time the fish was caught and the time the line was hauled.
Il is thus possible to determine the optimal average time to drop and haul the long line.
The Hook Timers are attached between the main line and the hook.

McLane Moored Profiler – MMP
